Mahavitaran (MSEDCL) was awarded the Second ‘Best State Power Utility’ at the recently held 10th Indian Energy Conference-2016 in New Delhi. Organized by Indian Chambers of Commerce in cooperation with Central Government’s Power Ministry, the award was presented by Chairman of Central Electricity Authority S D Dubey. MSEDCL Chief Engineer (Distribution) Ankush Nale and Superintending Engineer Milind Digraskar received the award.

Mahavitaran achieved tremendous success in management of around 5000 megawatt electricity demand through single phasing and Gaothan feeder suppression. Moreover, crackdown on power thefts, power saving through modern methods resulted in decline in MSEDCL’s losses in transmission. Similarly, through Mobile App, new power connections, bill payment, resolution of bill grievances and various other facilities were made available to consumers by Mahavitaran. Taking note of all these factors, the Mahavitaran was awarded the second ‘Best State Power Utility’ prize.
