IML celebrates 33rd Corps day of JAG’s department

IML, Kamptee celebrated 33rd Corps Day of JAG’s Department on 21st Dec 2016 with gaiety and aplomb. The ceremonies lasted over two days i.e. 21st and 22nd Dec 2016. On 21st Dec 2016 a ceremonial cake was cut and a Bara Khana attended by all ranks of IML and their families was held at the IML premises. Messages from the 1st Indian JAG Brig Justice DM Sen, the COAS, the Adjutant General, the Judge Advocate General, the Chief of Staff, ARTRAC were read. The families and children of IML presented a cultural programme. On this occasion Brig Vijay Kumar, Commandant, IML exhorted the officers and all ranks of IML to rededicate themselves to the JAG motto Nyaya Evam Dharma i.e., Justice alone is the supreme duty.

A ceremonial dinner was held on 22 Dec 2016 at the IML officer’s Mess. The dinner was attended by the Judges of Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court, the Vice Chancellor RTM University, Nagpur, Maj Gen (Retd) AB Gorthi and the senior Army and Air Force officers of Nagpur and Kamptee.

In his address to the gathering, Justice BR Gavai praised the efforts of IML Kamptee for the yeoman service that it is doing in training the officers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force in the field of Military and allied laws. Justice BR Gavai said that while the judiciary is imparting justice as per the rule of law, army is assuring those safe conditions in which the rule of law can be implemented in the most effective manner. He conveyed his compliments to the Officers of the JAG’s Department on this solemn occasion.
