Nagpur: Maharashtra Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), also called Mahavitaran in local parlance, is now effectively functioning through ‘internet’ facilities using information technology (IT) as a device for running call centres, consumer service centres and online billing, etc. As a result, the MSEDCl is linked with various other electricity generation companies across the country.
Now its consumer service centre is functioning round the clock during whole week (24×7) including online billing for all types of consumers. This modernized system has facilitated the consumers to such an extent that they can pay their bills online through debit cards, credit cards and online payment. It has also installed disaster recovery centre.
