The draft electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Maharashtra was published on 31 August 2026. The names of around 2.07 crore voters are currently missing from the draft list.
These include voters who are absent, have migrated, are deceased, have duplicate entries, are foreign citizens, or whose names could not be included because forms were not submitted or records had not been digitised.
What to do if your name is missing from the draft list?
There is no need to panic if your name is not in the draft electoral roll. Voters can file claims and objections between 31 August and 30 September 2026.

To add a name: Submit a claim using Form 6 along with the required documents.
To object to the inclusion of an ineligible person’s name: Use Form 7.
To correct an address or details on the EPIC: Use Form 8.
The process of disposing of claims and objections will be completed by 29 October 2026. The final electoral roll will then be published on 4 November 2026.
How to check your name
Visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Maharashtra, and check your name in the Draft Electoral Roll published under the SIR. If your name is not found, it is important to file a claim before 30 September.
Important: The absence of a name from the draft list does not mean that the right to vote has been permanently lost. Voters will have an opportunity to get their names included by filing a claim within the prescribed deadline.
