Maharashtra Governor condoles the demise of Cardiologist B.K.Goyal

Mumbai: The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao has expressed grief on the demise of well known Cardiologist and Dean of Bombay Hospital, Padma Vibhushan Dr B K Goyal in Mumbai on Tuesday (20th Feb). In a message, the Governor said:

“Dr B K Goyal was a father figure in the medical profession in India. He was a Cardiologist and academician of international repute. Dr Goyal made invaluable contribution to the field of healthcare by introducing advanced research and cutting – edge medical technologies, particularly in cardiac care. He was also instrumental in organizing several national and international medical conferences for the benefit of doctors.

Through organization of events such as ‘World Heart Day’ and through the publication of his popular book ‘Heart Talk’, Dr Goyal created awareness about coronary heart diseases and prevention among the masses. He was also the Founder of the Dhanwantari Foundation through which he recognized and rewarded excellence in medical profession. His demise is a great loss for the medical profession in Maharashtra.”
