He have completed M. Tech in Industrial Engineering from VNIT Nagpur and MBA from RTM Nagpur University in Human resource and Marketing. Personality Development is the another topic of his interests for which he is conducting various workshops. In past twenty five years he had worked with reputed academic institutes like G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Priyadarshini College of Engineering of Nagpur.Dr. Uttarwar who is a renowned academician of city presently working as a Vice Principal , Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering and Technology Nagpur.
Recently Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur have conferred him with Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. His topic of research is based on unconventional Machining processes and he carried out his research work at IIT Powai, IIT Kanpur, SGGSCET Nanded and VNIT Nagpur. His thirteen research papers on PhD work are published in International Journals and Conferences which are referred worldwide by research students. His topic of PhD is Electrochemical Machining which is a unconventional machining process. In conventional machining process, the contact between work piece and tool is inevitable for taking place of cutting operation. In unconventional machining processes there is no physical contact between work piece and tool. Still a machining is possible with superior finish and dimensional accuracy. This process is widely used in Europe, America, Japan, Germany and all advanced countries. In India BHEL, L&T, Tata Motors , Ordnance factories and other industries are using this machining technique extensively for production processes. Still there is large scope for exploration of this technique in other machining sector.

In reply to the felicitation Dr. Uttarwar states that consistent hard work is the only key to get desired aim in life. There is no shortcut for success. First you have to set your goal in life and once your goal is finalised you have to do hard work to achieve it. He express his gratitude towards governing body for recognition of his work and thank them.
