Kunal was in city to promote his upcoming movie, “Kaun Kitne Paani Mein”. The film is a light comedy, drama with a strong message which will not only entertain families but also encourage people to use the available resources carefully.
During a candid video interview at the Nagpur Today Office, he shared his views about film making and urged our city’s youngster to produce films that are close to their hearts, and advised them to share their own experiences and tell people stories in their own unique way.
Inspiration to Kunal Kapoor comes through normal people, their stories, extraordinary experiences of ordinary people but he didn’t fail to mention the names of personalities like Kishor Kumar, Govinda whose films he grew up watching.
As he started his acting career with a theatre group, we asked him what he enjoyed more, theatre or films, to which he replied that both have their own challenges and joys but he likes doing films more as he loves everything that comes along with it.
His journey in Bollywood has been full of ups and downs. Not having a Bollywood background raised the bar of his survival in the industry but the challenges he faced made him strong. Coming from outside and making his own unique identity in the industry has been very fulfilling for him amd he has achieved a lot during his journey.
He is also passionate about writing and is working on three scripts right now based on action, musical and comedy genre. Talking about the differences in genres he said that he loves to do things he haven’t got a chance to do and being engaged in these scripts gives him joy as well as challenges.
His visit to Nagpur was delightful and we also found that he is a big foodie and would love to return to Nagpur to try our mouth watering delicacies.
As Raksha Bandhan is around the corner, we asked him to give a message about it to our city’s youngster to which he urged
the boys to get disappeared on the day! Now we know who we won’t be seeing on Rakshabandhan!!!
Kunal entralled the crowd with his presence at different places in town. Not only girls, but boys too, went totally crazy for him, struggling for selfies with the handsome hunk.
The actor looked absolutely dashing in his casual look. Wherever he went, he left the crowd in euphoria.
The film wryly expresses the changes in hierarchy, caste and the power equation when water, the important resource vanishes and how the oppressed become the oppressors. The story is based on two villages which were split based on caste and money but never through water. In the current situation, through reversals of fortune, the old world has been broken and water becomes the biggest game changer. It has a domino effect on everything from social order to economics, even love and marriage. The film takes a satirical look at respect for resources, caste divides, and rural life against the backdrop of a traditional love story but all set in a realm where water is the new currency.
The event and city tour of celebrity was managed by Sanjay Kukreja, Director, Balaji Entertainments.
