Maharashtra minister Jitendra Awhad tweets:
‘There is an acute shortage of blood in Maharashtra. Blood banks are running dry and we have blood only to suffice for next seven to eight days.
‘It’s dire need of the hour for people to come forward and donate blood. I appeal to the youth ‘voluntarily and selflessly’ Donate Blood, Save Lives (sic).’
