MAFSU students roll back strike post assurance from officials

Taking a move backward after the assurance that came from Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) officials, the BFSc students who were on agitation from September 1, have called off their agitation on Wednesday September 5.
Sources from the students informed that the Director of Instructions (MAFSU) Dr. Sarkate met with the students on Wednesday and assured them of fulfilling their demands as soon as possible.
Among the major demands raised by the students include shifting the college temporarily to the old university building at Hazari Pahad Road within 4 months time, starting the bus facility in 2 months for educational tours, stipend facility from next academic session and erecting roads in the hatchery area.
As regards to the main demand of construction of new college building, the officials have assured the students that this demand will be pursued with the next government which would take over post the assembly polls.
On these assurances, the students decided to take back their agitation.
