A young woman and her 2-year old daughter had a lucky escape when the slab of main hall of their house suddenly collapsed on Wednesday. The mother-daughter duo emerged scratchless although the incident had all ingredients to prove fatal. A building contractor has booked on the charges of inferior construction and thus putting lives of the woman and her daughter at peril.
According to police, the complainant Hansraj Sukhdas Raut (32), along with wife Shweta and daughter Trishita (2), stays at Flat No. G/23, Plot No. R/3, Mercury Villa Apartment, Dixit Nagar, Nari Road Nagpur. On Wednesday, Hansraj Raut, as usual left his house for duty. At around 1 pm, the slab of the main hall of his house came crashing down. Shweta and Trishita had a miraculous escape as they happened to be at some other room of the house.
Jaripatka Senior PSI Shrikhande, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Hansraj Raut, has booked the accused building contractor Anuj Jejani (33), resident of Dixit Nagar, Nari Road, Nagpur under Section 336 and probing the matter further.
