Nagpur: Following a night spent at the Hudkeshwar Police Station, model, fashion blogger, and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey, alongside her sister Rashmi and driver Tanveer Ali, was produced on Wednesday before Chief Judicial Magistrate S D Kamat. The court granted a 72-hour transit remand to the Uttar Pradesh police in connection with the high-profile murder case of Lucknow cafe owner Shiva Sharma.
Before granting the transit remand, Chief Judicial Magistrate S D Kamat specifically asked the Dubey sisters and the driver whether they had any complaints against the police handling, to which all three replied in the negative. The court granted a 72-hour transit remand and directed the UP police team to produce the accused before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Lucknow by 2:50 pm on October 24.
When questioned by the judge whether anyone had been informed of her arrest, Shraddha Dubey confirmed that her legal counsel was fully in the loop. Nagpur police exercised heightened caution while handling Shraddha due to her profile as a social media influencer and her capability to leverage digital platforms. She had previously addressed the media via social media posts, publicly claiming that she had been falsely implicated in the murder of Lucknow cafe owner Shiva Sharma.
Strict custody protocols and legal formalities were observed throughout the proceedings, with all police procedures and movements thoroughly documented.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Shailendra Singh represented the prosecution during the hearing. The Uttar Pradesh police team was accompanied by Inspector Shreeprakash Singh from the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow.
