Imambada police suspect love triangle as the reason behind notorious goon Vinod Kuthar’s murder, who was brutally killed by a gang of youths in front of his girlfriend on Rambagh Ring Road on Wednesday afternoon. Among five people booked, four has been arrested on Thursday afternoon.
Accused are identified as Nikhil Ubade, Saurabh Chavhan, Rahul Dongre and Aaksh Meshram.
Kuthar, 28, was attacked within half-an-hour after he was released on bail from a riot case. Cops informed that Ubade was the mastermind behind the murder plan.
Kuthar was booked for voluntarily causing hurt to Ubade’s mother on Monday. He was arrested on Wednesday and produced in the court where he was granted bail. After the court proceedings, he had gone to meet his girlfriend at Medical College premises when Ubade and others rounded him and started attacking him. Kuthar was stabbed to death on Rambagh Ring Road.
Police informed that Ubade and Kuthar liked the same girl. Few days before, Ubade had threatened the girl to stop talking with Kuthar.
On Monday, Kuthar had gone to meet Ubade but had a quarrel with his mother and had thrashed her. All four accused will be produced in the court on Friday.
