New Delhi/Nagpur: Another stormy session in Parliament as Left members corner Trinamool Congress leaders in Rajya Sabha on the sting operation. The Left is demanding a thorough investigation in the sting operation wherein TMC leaders were seen accepting money.
On the last day of the first half of the Budget Session on Wednesday, the government will bring Aadhaar Bill as money bill in Rajya Sabha. A key bill making Aadhaar the basis for disbursal of all subsidies was also passed by Lok Sabha.
The government says the Aadhaar (Target Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Bill, 2016′ will help save thousands of crore rupees by routing subsidy through the Aadhaar system. The Bill gives statutory backing to the unique identity number scheme.
The government has succeeded in pushing some key legislations including Real Estate Bill through Parliament in this session.
