Lighter gun wielding drunkard creates ruckus at Sushrut Hospital in Ramdaspeth, arrested

Nagpur: A lighter gun wielding drunkard created ruckus in a hospital in Ramdaspeth and ‘threatened to harm’ patients, their relatives and the hospital staff. The tippler accused is now cooling his heels behind the bars.

The boozer Amit Vikramaditya Tiwari (42), resident of 107, Bajaj Nagar, around 7 pm on Monday (March 13) burst into Ramdaspeth-based Sushrut Hospital wielding a lighter gun. The accused Amit, under the influence of liquor, started abusing hospital staff, patients and other people and scared them to the core by waving the lighter gun menacingly.

In the meantime, somebody informed Sitabuldi police about the incident. A team of cops rushed to the hospital and took the accused away with them.

PSI V M Gedam has booked accused Amit Tiwari under Sections 294, 452, 336, 506(B) of the IPC read with Sub-Section 85 of Maharashtra Prohibition Act and placed him under arrest.
