Nagpur: A 27-year old man who readily agreed to provide lift to an unidentified miscreant was thrashed and robbed by the goon and his five accomplices in Hudkeshwar area on Tuesday night.
The complainant, Deepak Budhlal Uike (27), resident of Kalpana Nagar, Nara Nari Road, Jaripatka, was returning home on his two-wheeler from Besa Power House on Tuesday night. Midway, the unidentified accused goon stopped Deepak and request for lift as his grandmother has died. Deepak readily agreed to give lift the goon till Chimurkar Layout. On reaching the area, the goon phoned his five accomplices and called them to the spot. Later, the six miscreants together attacked Deepak and demanded money from him. As Deepak refused to part with the money, the goons forcibly snatched cash of Rs 2500 and a mobile from Deepak and fled the spot.
Hudkeshwar PSI pande booked the unidentified robbers under Section 395 of the IPC and searching for them.
