LBT search & seizure action on centres of Micromax; Mobile Expert, Al Raza Mobile & Anurag Enterprises dodge tax in lakhs

Local Body Tax department conducted search and seizure actions at three Authorised service centres of Micromax Mobile named Mobile Expert, Shop No.113, Honey Archana Complex, Medical Square, Al Raza Mobile Service Centre, Dhantoli, and Anurag Enterprises, Wade Bhawan, Agrasen Square, Nagpur.

The establishment Mobile Expert owned by Ravi Mishra. The dealer has made imports of spare parts of Micromax mobile worth Rs. 7.69 Lakhs and Rs. 27.53 Lakhs in the financial years 2013-14 and 2014-15, respectively.

Al Raza Mobile Service Centre owned by Hasin Razzak. The dealer has made imports of spare parts of Micromax mobile worth Rs. 60.06 Lakhs and Rs. 64.70 Lakhs in the financial years 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively.

Anurag Enterprises owned by Anurag Wade. The dealer has made imports of spare parts of Micromax mobile worth Rs. 9.20 Lakhs 2014-15. The dealer also provides service for Nokia mobile from establishment named Anurag Marketing situated at same premises. The dealer has submitted annual return of LBT for the period 2013-14 of Anurag Marketing only and also paid Rs.20,120/- against the imports of the same financial year 2013-14, but not a single penny has been deposited by the dealer for the purchase of F.Y. 2014-15 till date of Search & Seizure.

All these above mentioned three dealers of Authorised service centres of Micromax Mobile has not submitted the applications for LBT registration and are doing business without LBT registration numbers. The dealers should have deposited the LBT amount around Rs.6.76 lakhs for the total imports, but it has been noticed that not a single penny was deposited by the dealers.
The Department seized purchase invoices and Purchase data from the dealer’s establishments. Department will verify the documents and data seized for fixing the actual LBT liability on the dealers.
The search and seizure actions were conducted by LBT Officers Venkat Jichkar, Yadav Jambhulkar, Rajesh Meshram; Asstt. LBT Officers Narayan Wankhede, Sanjay Dahikar, Prashant Kawalkar, Sanjay Mendule, Sumer Gajbhiye, Dilip Mate, Ramesh Giri and Assistants Jitendra Tomar, Shailendra Bharadwaj, Amir Hussain, Milind Lokhande, Sanjay Moundekar, Shashi Samundare, Dyaneshwar Kakde, Someshwar Parate. The operation was initiated under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Milind Meshram and under the able guidance of Municipal Commissioner, Shrawan Hardikar and Additional Dy. Mpl. Commissioner.
