LBT Amnesty scheme should be kept simple : Dipen Agrawal

Nagpur: A delegation of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra ( FAM ) led by Mohan Gurnani President & supported by Dipen Agrawal IPP – NVCC & Convener – FAM Action Plan Panel, Core Group , consisting of Raju Rathi – Sholapur, Jimmy Paulie – Thane, Ajit Mehta- Kolhapur & Mitesh Prajapti- Mumbai called upon Mrs. Manisha Mahaiskar Secretary- UD II, today at Mantralaya Mumbai to discuss & fine tune the proposed Amnesty Scheme for LBT.

Mohan Gurnani President FAM while felicitating Mrs. Mahaiskar with floral bouquet thanked her on behalf of traders of state & FAM for her tireless efforts & positive support to have got the Amnesty Scheme approved in the Cabinet meeting on 12th May, 2015.
Dipen Agrawal placed before the Secretary various issues & concerns in regards to Amnesty Scheme for LBT like Assessment , Time limit . Human error , already issued Assessment orders , already issued Demand orders etc. Each issue as raised was considered by her positively & decided upon to the satisfaction of the delegation.

Raju Rathi & Jimmy Paulie also participated in the discussions & submitted their views.

Mrs Mahaiskar assured the delegation that the GR of Amnesty Scheme shall be issued shortly after incorporating the decisions taken in the meeting today. Also present was Shri Govind Lokhande Deputy Secretary UD-II. Dipen Agrawal IPP – NVCC while proposing the vote of thanks appreciated the positivity of Shri Devendra Fadnavis Honorable Chief Minister, GoM in the matter by understanding the need of offering Amnesty Scheme for LBT & accordingly approving the same in the Cabinet meeting & he also thanked Mrs. Mahaiskar Secretary UD – II & Shri Govind Lokhande Deputy Secretary UD – II & the officers & staff of UD – II for their support & efforts for not only getting the Scheme approved but also trying their best to make the Scheme as Simple it can be in the interest that maximum traders be benefited from it & face zero harassment while availing the scheme.

Mayur Panchmatiya President, NVCC appeals to traders to avail the opportunity of Amnesty Scheme being offered by the government by paying their legitimate dues of LBT & get waiver of interest & penalty & avoid further coercive action by the department, states in a press release issued by Manubhai Soni – Secretary NVCC.
