Nagpur: Mayor Pravin Datke on Wednesday unveiled a name board installed in the name of renowned literatteur Nagarbhushan Ram Shewalkar to mark his birth anniversary as well as 65th Foundation Day of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The name board has been installed in front of late Shewalkar’s residence on North Ambazari Road.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Prabhag Corporator and MLC Prakash Gajbhiye, Chairman of Standing Committee Ramesh Singare, Ruling Party Leader Dayashankar Tiwari, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, senior social worker and Vanrai Trustee Girish Gandhi, former MLA Yadavrao Devgade, Vasudevrao Chorghade, Corporators Sunil Agrawal, Bandu Raut, Varsha Thakre, Ashvini Jichkar, late Ram Shewalkar’s wife, Vijaya Shewalkar, son Ashutosh Shewalkar, daughter-in-law Manisha Shewalkar, NMC officials and citizens in large number.
At the outset, Mayor garlanded the photograph of late Ram Shewalkar and also felicitated Vijayatai Shewalkar by offering her shawl and shriphal.
