Nagpur News: Fallout of Ambatkar’s U-turn and blaming of former Guardian Minister Satish Chaturvedi for instigating him and forcing him to name BJP leaders including Krishna Khopde in the TDR scam, Lakadganj area today was tensed with supporters of both sides clashing with each others.
According to reliable sources, supporters of Khopde, during the day and few activists of BJP were spotted throwing mud on hoardings of Chaturvedi in the area. It may be noted that a day before, Satish Chaturvedi’s birthday was celebrated and in the entire area, a number of large hoarding were installed at various places.
The mud throwing sparked an unrest among the Congress supporters who then located a few BJP supporters and thrashed them.
At the time of filing this news, the area was under normalcy and no arrest was made so far. Police has been deployed at a number of places in Lakadganj to prevent any untoward incident.
