A lady police constable died in road accident on Tuesday at around 11 am near Chingi Naka No. 2. The deceased lady constable was identified as Aarti Gajbhiye. She was coming from Kamptee to Nagpur on her two-wheeler when a truck hit her near Chungi Naka No. 2. Aarti was injured seriously in accident. Fearing arrest, the truck driver fled the spot.
She was rushed to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital. The doctors declared her dead during the treatment. Yashodhara Nagar Police registered a case of accidental death. No arrest was made till filing of the report. Further investigations are underway.
