Kshan Momenta-A-Vita: 11th National Trial and Appellate Moot Court Competition-2016 begins today

Nagpur: G H Raisoni Law School, Nagpur has organized a three-day Kshan National Law Fest-2016 which shall commence from March 11, 2016 and will continue till March 13, 2016.

The inaugural function of the fest will be held on March 11, 2016 at 5:30 pm at Vivekananda Hall of G.H. Raisoni Law School.

Judge of Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court Justice Bhushan R Gavai and Retired Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Justice Mohit S Shah will be gracing the occasion.

While addressing a press meet Public Relations Officer Amit Gandhare said that all the teams have reached Nagpur. He said that around 50 Witnesses have been specially trained to participate in the cases.

In this Moot Court Competition 24 teams from every corner of India will be participating. These include

  1. Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) Gujrat,
  2. NUJS Kolkata,
  3. RGNUL Patiala,
  4. National Law University Odisha,
  5. National Law University Bhopal and
  6. Symbiosis Law School, Pune etc. will be participating.
  7. National Law University, Tamil Nadu
  8. National Law University Kochi etc

The registration for the said competition will be held on March 11, 2016 along with the Orientation and Inauguration ceremony. The Preliminary Rounds of the Moot Court Competition will be held on March 12, 2016 in addition to the Personality Contest which will be organized in the afternoon session. On the 3rd day, the Semi Final and the Final round of the Moot Court Competition will be conducted.

The Valedictory Function will be held in the presence of Lokayukta, Maharashtra Justice M. L. Tahaliyani and Judge Bombay High Court Justice A. M. Badar. The prizes for the said competition are sponsored by well known personalities of city. The prizes of the competition are as followed:

  1. Best Team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.11000/- and a Trophy.
