3 two-wheelers, car destroyed in fires in different areas

Nagpur: With the onset of summer, incidents of fire have started to pour in. Three two-wheelers and a car cuaght fire in different areas on Friday and were reduced to mangles of steel even before the firefighters could douse the flames.

In the first incident, three two-wheelers parked at Gurudeo Apartment in Ashirvad Nagar mysteriously caught fire in the wee hours (4 am) on Friday. A power meter of the apartment too was destroyed in the fire. The two-wheelers belonged to Manisha Uike (MH-49/F 3363), Sandeep Kapse (MH-31/EL 2843) and Vijay Uike (MH-49/AC 5872). The combined loss the owners suffered aws put at Rs 1.20 lakh. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot that controlled the fire. No casualty was reported.

The second fire was reported in Empress Mill Colony, Srinagar in the vicinity of Narendra Nagar. A car (MH-BB/ 9060) of Vanita Dongre who had come to the house of Abhishek Mishra in the area suddenly engulfed in a fire while parked. Upon receiving information, a fire tender was rushed to the spot. Flames were brought under control but not before the vehicle was reduced to ashes.
