Nagpur: Koradi police busted an inter-state gang of mobile phone stealers and arrested four members of the gang. Cops have so far recovered 47 stolen cell phones worth Rs 3.75 lakh from the possession of the arrested gang members. However, the kingpin of the gang has gone absconding and is being searched.
The Koradi cops netted the inter-state gang when a juvenile offender named Karan Kagali Dom (12), native of Bhoothnath Mandir, Bhagalpur, Bihar, was caught stealing a mobile phone, the third one as he had earlier stolen two cell phones – one Asus Zen5 of Gowardhan Bhagwan Marbate on July 7 and Appo N7 of Vinod Kanhaiyyalal Bilone. During interrogation the accused juvenile boy told police that he gave the stolen phones to another accused named Mausam Uldeep Roy (21), native of Purnia District in Bihar but presently staying in city. Karan also named three other accomplices named Bittukumar Salegram Yadav (18), also of Purnia District, Chhotukumar Ranapratap Shaha (20) of District Sahebganj, Jharkhand and Dilipkumar Dindayal Noniya (25) of District Sahebganj, Jharkhand. However, the mastermind, Pankaj Yadav is absconding.
The four accused who were arrested were staying in a room at Tajbagh area from where they were picked by Koradi police.
Cops have recovered 47 handsets of mobile phones of different companies worth Rs 3.75 lakh from their possession.
