Kidney patient, 2 drunkards among four persons end lives in different areas

sucideNagpur: Four persons, including a kidney patient and two drunkards, ended their lives all by hanging in houses in different areas of the city. Cops have registered cases of accidental deaths and investigating the matter further.
The first case was reported from Imambada jurisdiction in which a 30-year old man Vivek Dilip Gajbhiye of Plot No. 171, Chandanagar, committed suicide by hanging to ceiling fan with the help of a rope around 6 am on Thursday. The deceased Vivek was reportedly suffering from chronic kidney ailment. Fed with the disease, Vivek could have taken the extreme step.

Similarly, a 26-year old Shrutik Sanjay Batekar, resident of Plot No. 196, Batekar Colony, Ganeshnagar, ended his life by hanging to the ceiling fan with the help of an odhni after being scolded by his father for consuming liquor. The deceased’s father Sanjay Shravan Batekar on Wednesday night had given a dressing down to Shrutik for coming home in inebriated condition. “I have not given Rs 100 to you for consuming liquor,” Sanjay had said to his son in angry words. The scolding seems to have did not go well with Shrutik, an unemployed, and he went to his room and took the extreme step around 9 pm. The incident came to notice of wife of the deceased when she went to the room to call him for dinner. But Shrutik did not respond to the knocks on the door. A peep from the window revealed Shrutik hanging to the ceiling fan motionless.

Another drunkard, Banwari Nanakchand Rana (45) of Panjara Parvati Nagar, under influence of liquor, ended his life by hanging to the rafter of his house at 8 pm on Thursday. A wordy duel had erupted between the deceased and his wife over a domestic matter before Banwari took the extreme step.

A 75-year old man, Madhukar Budhaji Meshram of Indora, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling of kitchen in his house around 3 pm on Thursday.

Cops from Imambada, Kotwali, Kalamna and Jaripatka Police Stations have registered cases of accidental deaths in the four incidents and investigating the matter further.
