Kangana Ranaut to Gain Extra Weight And Train in Kabadi For Her Next ‘Panga’

One of Bollywood’s most versatile and talented actor Kangana Ranaut has wrapped up the shooting for her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi where she will be playing the role of Rani Laxmibai, India’s greatest female warrior. The Queen actor is now focusing on her next film, which us Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga. Kangana has played several different roles in her films and she is all set to surprise her fans with a completely new avatar.

In Panga, Kangana will be seen mastering the tricks of kabaddi. Not just that, the Tanu Weds Manu star will undergo a complete physical transformation. She will be putting on around 6-7 kilos of weight for her character.

A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “Kangana will start training in kabaddi as soon as she is back from her vacation in New York. Though she is familiar with the sport, she requires training to showcase it like a professional. But, before she starts doing so, she will gain weight. She is on a high-calorie protein diet, and, over the next month, intends to pack on six kilos”.

“Kangana may need to incorporate weight training exercises instead. So it’s going to be a gala time for Kangana to turn a foodie and enjoy a generous serving of nut shakes, fruits and tofu on her dietary chart,” The source further added.

Other than her work front, Kangana who is not afraid of talking about any current issues, recently made headlines for slamming director Karan Johar for not speaking up on the #MeToo movement.
The whole #MeToo movement was started in Bollywood by former Indian actor Tanushree Dutta. She accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her while shooting for her film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss.

After Tanushree. several other survivors came out and shared their nerve-wracking incidents. Many accused are big names from the industry like Anu Malik, Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Subhas Ghai, Kailash Kher and many others.

Coming back to Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, the movie is all set to hit the screens on January 25 and will fight the box office battle with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30.
