Kalamna police arrests youth for attempt to murder

Nagpur News : Quarrel in a drunken state led a youth behind bars after he attacked his friend over some trivial issue on Friday under the jurisdiction of Kalamna police station. The youth was held under attempt to murder charges.

The youth, identified as Vijay Ramchandra Jadiya, aged 21 and a resident of Ekta Nagar, met his friend Ramesh alias Thibar Munnadas Baghel (20), also a resident of Ekta Nagar, Kalamna on Friday at around 9.30 pm on the road in front of Bouddha Satay Vihar, Bhandewadi, Pardi.

The two friends consumed liquor and we involved in chatting. However, soon their usual chats turned violent when a quarrel erupted between the two. Ramesh, who lost his temper, attacked Vijay with a ‘Koyta’, a sharp edged weapon, and injured him on his head, nose hands. Ramesh then tried to flee the spot after realising his deed, but he nabbed before he could escape the scene.

Vijay was rushed to Tarangan Hospital for treatment by some commuters. On the basis of the complaint by Vishal Mangate, Kalamna police have registered an offence under Sections 307 of the IPC and arrested Ramesh.
