Nagpur News: A 50-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her nephew over an old rivalry at her Shiv Shakti layout residence in Gittikhadan police station area on Thursday night.
Chaya Patil, was the second wife of Narayan. Police informed that his first wife had committed suicide.
Since then, Narayan’s nephew Pramod Gajbhiye disliked Chaya and would tease her. Chaya had earlier many arguments with Gajbhiye.
On Thursday night, Gajbhiye had gone to Chaya’s house and had an argument with her after teasing her badly. An infuriated Chaya slapped Gajbhiye who in fit of rage stabbed her to death.
Police said that Chaya was stabbed only once but succumbed on the spot due to internal injuries.
The body was shifted to mortuary at Mayo Hospital. A murder case has been registered and Gajbhiye was arrested .
