Eight PIs were also transferred on the same post. In the major reshuffle, in all 106 PIs were promoted and shifted, 52 PIs were only transferred, 49 APIs, and 90 PSIs were either promoted and shifted or transferred on the same post across Maharashtra.
Nagpur: In a major late night reshuffle, the Home Department of Maharashtra Government transferred seven Police Inspectors (PIs) from Nagpur on promotion to the rank of Dy SPsor ACPs to different places. In all 106 PIs were shifted on promotion across the State. At the same time, eight PIs were transferred from the city on the same post. Similarly, 12 Assistant Police Inspectors (APIs) of the city were promoted to the rank of PIs and shifted to other places. The total number of APIs promoted and transferred across the State stands at 49. Moreover, four Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) of the city were promoted to the rank of APIs and shifted to other places. In all 90 PSIs were promoted and shifted.
The seven PIs promoted and transferred from city are Ravindra Kapgate, Avdesh Tripathi, Balraj Lanjile, Namdeo Ingole, Suresh Bhoyar, Satish Devre and Abhay Deshpande of Anti-Naxal Operations.
The eight PIs shunted from city on the same post are Mahesh Patil, Shankar Kore, Ajay Sankeshwari, Dhananjay Sonavane, Ashok Pawar, Budhan Sawant, Ajaykumar Chavan, and Laxman Dumbre.
The names of the 12 APIs from city who were promoted as PIs and shifted to other places are Arun Pund, Santosh Gholve, Ganesh Gurav, Harishkumar Borade, Pawan Desle, Mukund Kawade, Arunkumar Sapkal, Shravan Tawade, Subhash Thakur, Santosh Bhandare, Mangesh Desai and Amol Dound.
Similarly, the PSIs who were promoted to the rank of APIs and shifted include Sunul Harugade, Jaywant Jadhav, Murlidhar Gadamode and Ishwar Hanvate.
A number of police personnel have also been promoted from other parts of the State and transferred to Nagpur.
