Nagpur: A job seeking youth was cheated to the tune of Rs 3 lakh by a man who promised him a clerk’s post in Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). The conman has been booked.
The complainant Anita Anil Nikhade (43), resident of Plot No. 61, Ambika Nagar, Manewada Ring Road, told police that the accused Vinayak Jayant Nanoti (42) of Janki Nagar, behind Bhagyalaxmi Mangal Karyalaya, approached her between 18.6.2015 and 12.8.2015 and promised to provide her son Ashutosh a job in WCL as a clerk. In return, the accused Vinayak Nanoti took Rs 3 lakh from Anita. However, Ashutosh was neither provided the promised job in WCL nor Anita was returned Rs 3 lakh by the accused Vinayak Nanoti.
Hudkeshwar API J A Sheikh registered a case against accused Vinayak Nanoti under Section 420 of IPC and investigating the matter.
