Nagpur: IPS Dr. Bhushankumar Upadhayay, currently posted as Additional Director General of Police (Traffic) Maharashtra State, on Monday received Swami Kuvalayananda Yoga Puruskar. Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari at Kaivalyadhama, Lonavala feted Dr Upadhayay for promotion of Yoga.
Dr Upadhyay has previously served as the Commissioner of Police Nagpur. Dr Upadhyay had organised Yoga camps to maintain mental and physical health of the jail inmates while serving as Special Inspector General of Police (Prisons).

The governing body of Kaivalyadhama had announced Swami Kuvalyananda Yoga Puraskar for promotion of Yoga to Dr Upadhyay. The award has been announced by Subodh Tiwari Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization.
“Your contribution is sharing and implementing the wisdom of Yoga for betterment of humanity is exceptional. You have made this possible, while you are serving the police force as an extent further and lead by example.
Your wisdom and practice has helped innumerable individuals in their lives,” read the conferment letter issued by Kaivalyadhama.
