Nagpur: Ticket distribution for the first T20 International between India and New Zealand, scheduled for January 21 at the VCA Jamtha Stadium, commenced on Tuesday for VCA life members and affiliated clubs at Bilimoria Hall, Civil Lines.
Enthusiasm among members was evident as several of them queued up at the venue late Monday night, well ahead of the scheduled 9.30 am start of ticket distribution, in a bid to secure prime seating inside the stadium. A former Vidarbha Ranji Trophy player, who was among the early arrivals, said most members were keen on front-row seats and therefore chose to arrive hours in advance.
According to the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA), ticket distribution for members and affiliated clubs will continue until January 15. Each life member is entitled to one complimentary ticket. Members also have the option to exchange their complimentary ticket for one of a lower denomination, if preferred. In addition, a member is permitted to purchase up to four tickets of any category.
The VCA has laid down clear guidelines for ticket collection. A member can collect tickets for up to four other members by producing their recently issued VCA Membership ID cards. Alternatively, a representative may collect tickets on behalf of a maximum of four members, subject to submission of individual authority letters along with valid VCA-issued Membership ID cards.
For the general public, online ticket sales will open on January 17 through the official ticketing partner via the “District by Zomato” mobile application and the website “district.in”. Tickets purchased online can be redeemed between January 18 and January 20, from 9.30 am to 8 pm, exclusively at Bilimoria Hall, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
