Nagpur: With 2026 Nagpur Municipal elections coming closer, Ward No. 35 (A) in Narendra Nagar is seeing new political activity. Arvind Ramesh Tupe has announced that he will contest the election as an independent candidate from the Scheduled Caste category.
Tupe says he wants to work only for people’s problems, not for any political party. Residents of the ward have been facing issues like poor water supply, broken roads, dirty surroundings, weak health services and lack of jobs for many years. Tupe believes these problems were talked about often but never solved properly.
He has entered the election with a clear message that local issues are more important than party politics. By standing as an independent, he is ready to give a tough fight to the BJP candidate.
According to him, this election is about common people raising their voice against an unfair system.
Creating jobs for youth, improving basic facilities and ensuring equal development in the area are the main points of his campaign. Tupe says the support of ordinary citizens is his biggest strength.
Voting will take place on January 15, and the results will be declared on January 16. People across Nagpur are watching closely to see if voters in Ward 35 (A) choose change by supporting an independent candidate.
