Nagpur: Crime Branch on Friday raided a house in Hudkeshwar area and seized an illegal stock of Indian made foreign liquor worth Rs 3.84 lakh. A 40-year old man has been arrested in this connection.
Crime Branch sleuths, acting on secret inputs, raided the house of Manoj Vistari Donole (40), Plot No. 33, Shyamnagar, Hudkeshwar, around 5 pm on Friday. The raiding cops found the accused Donole had stocked 2400 bottles of 180 ml Officer’s Choice whisky worth Rs 3.84 lakh without license.
The stock was seized and the accused was booked under Section 65(E) of Maharashtra Prohibition Act and placed under arrest by Hudkeshwar police.
The raid action was undertaken by PI G G Tathod, PSI Rajkumar Tripathi, constables Mohan Shahu, Santosh Thakur, Vinod Meshram, NPC Prashant, sepoys Manjit Singh, Ramganesh and Arvind Jhilpe under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham, DCP (Detection) Ranjankumar Sharma and ACP Nilesh Raut.
