Heads held high, hearts full of pride, we will all be celebrating our 71st Independence day in a few hours. But then, while we Indians proudly stand and sing the National anthem and even salute the flag, do we really know how the flag evolved?
The evolution of the Indian flag goes a long way back in history. The idea of a single flag for whole of India was raised by the British rulers. After the revolution of 1857, the first Indian flag was designed in blue colour. However, the tricolor was evolved from time-to-time to reach its present form.
