Husband-wife duo booked for defrauding one person

: Some people go to any extent to earn money through unscrupulous means. In one such incident that has come to fore, the Sitabuldi Police Station has booked a couple for defrauding a person to the tune of Rs one crore thirty five lakhs by trying to sell a property which was already hypothecated with a bank using fake documents.

According to police sources Narendra Gandhi a resident of Ragini Nagar, Manewada Road lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi Police Station that in the intervening period from October 28, 2014 to June 18, 2015, the couple identified as Pankaj Kumar Gawde and his wife Sonal Gawde received Rs one crore thirty five lakhs from the victim Narendra Gandhi for the sale of a property of 3200 square feet located in Khare Town, Dharampeth. However, the accused had already hypothecated this property with Dharampeth Mahila Co-Operative Society. In spite of this the husband-wife duo had entered into an agreement for sale with the victim Narendra Gandhi. The couple had by showing fake documents had fleeced a sum of Rs one crore thirty five lakhs on various occasion.

One more thing that came to fore is that the couple had also got into another agreement for sale with another person called Manish Malpani. When Narendra Gandhi came to know about their agreement for sale with another person called Manish Malpani, he realized that he has been duped and he went to Sitabuldi Police Station and lodged a complaint.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Narendra Gandhi, the Sitabuldi Police registered a case against the couple and has started investigations against the fraud committed by the couple.
