The Gosikhurd project-affected, since acquisition of their agricultural land in year 1983, have been still struggling for compensation due over past 31 years, yet their compensation file had not been cleared for various reasons including technical hurdles. However, now their compensation has been decided afresh providing the advantage of package, dated 18.6.2013 into cosideration.

As Nagpur district collectorate has decided a new formula to provide compensation, the project-affected persons should accept the compensation, rather than falling into family disputes and individual objections, appeals Vilas Bhongale, convenor of Gosikhurd Prakalpagrasta Sangharsh Samiti, in a press release issued recently.
