Board Class XII practical exams begin, many junior colleges get no admission cards on time

The practical exams of Class XII of  Maharashtra State Secondary & Higher Secondary Education began on Thursday (February 6). Many high schools of Nagpur got their admission cards on time. But there were many junior colleges that had to change their practical exam dates as they did not get their admission cards.

According to the rules, the students should get their admission cards during the practical exam itself to facilitate mention their roll numbers on the answer sheet. But the Board, it appears, fumbled this time resulting many junior colleges receiving their admission cards on Wednesday and Thursday.

The delay in the issuance of admission cards led to many junior colleges changing their practical exam dates. Some of the colleges conducted practical exams with the list of roll numbers given by the Board.

Junior college teachers call off their strike:

The Junior college teachers, who were on the strike for the past few days, called off their strike and joined their duties their respective colleges. The State Government agreed to many of their demands. The teachers now fully co -operated in the practical exams today.

Separate examination centers for old course students for written examination:

This year, Class XII Board written examination will have a total of 463 centers. The new course syllabus will have 378 centers and old course syllabus 75 centers. In the new course, 1,42,493 students will appear for their exam and 22029 student will appear for the written examination in old course this year.
