Why is NCERT content so high in demand?

NCERT Books cover all the basics of every subject that is needed to know by the students depending on their level of class. India’s toughest entrance exams as well as all the government exams cannot be cleared very easily without reading NCERT books, most of the questions are asked in exams directly or indirectly from the NCERT books. The importance of these books for all the students regardless of their stream has become very high whether they are studying in academics or preparing for any entrance or government exams. The NCERT books from class 9th to 12th are especially important for all the students preparing for any exam.

That’s why CBSE, generally known as the Central Board of Secondary Education, has clearly said that the schools and boards that are affiliated to CBSE must not include anything extra in their syllabus other than NCERT books. Since the importance of NCERT is very high nowadays, as well as teachers very demanding, it is important to all the students as well as teachers to have the NCERT content with them for their studies.

How to access the NCERT books for all the subjects of class 10

The books of NCERT for all the subjects can be accessed in many ways for the school administration as well as students.

For School Administration-

Schools can get NCERT books in two ways; they can access them from offline resources as well as they can access from online resources. Both ways are discussed in the below section.

Offline Resource: CBSE has suggested to all the schools and its affiliated boards to contact their respected and nearest NCERT book sale counters for accessing books in bulk and hence to provide the books on time to the students.

To access books of NCERT for all the classes free of cost school administration can contact different online portals such as cbse.nic.in, or ncertbooks.ncert. gov.in

For Students-

On the other hand, students and their respective parents can also get NCERT books in two ways: one is from the offline market and the second is from the online market.

Offline Resource-

Students who are studying in class 10th or any other classes can simply access the NCERT book by visiting the book stores in the offline market. Since NCERT books are popular nationwide so it is easily accessible for all and also the cost of the books is very low when compared to any other publishers’ book. Some schools provide books to their students while some do not.

So those students who don’t get books from the school can access the book from the offline market at a very affordable price. The NCERT books are available in multiple languages so that students can have the books in their language.

Online Resource-

The students can also purchase the book online depending on their comfortability from various platforms. The books are easily available on various e-commercial websites and platforms at affordable prices. Also, the students can visit the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.nic.in to access the NCERT books for their respective classes. What are the formats available for accessing NCERT books?

NCERT books are easily available in both the online format i.e. in Pdf as well as physical book format. It depends on the students and their needs on how they should access and in which format they should have the book either PDF or physical book. The content for both the forms are the same it means either you are reading PDFs of NCERT books or reading physical NCERT books, the content will be the same for all the formats.

If you are a student preparing for any entrance exam or any government exam or any other exam in the country then definitely you have to read NCERT along with other books. So if you are an aspirant who is preparing for an exam it is recommended to access the book in PDF format because having books in bulk might feel like a burden for you and hence it might cause mental pressure as you have to read other books as well for the same subject.

If you are a student of class 10th or any other class then it is highly recommended to have only physical books with you throughout the entire year because you are reading it for the first time. You have to write your board exams and all the content of the exam will depend on these books only. So the PDF is not recommended for academic students. They should have the physical books of all the subjects along with them.
