Housebreaks in Pratap Nagar, Jaripatka; Valuables worth Rs 9.4 lakhs stolen

Nagpur: In three different incidents of house breaking reported underJaripatka, Pratap Nagar and Sadar police, some unidentified miscreants had managed to flee with gold and silver ornaments along with other valuables to the tune of 9.41lakhs on Friday.

In first incident, a 45-year-old complainant Vikas Chandandas Harwani, resident of Plot. No. 168, Vijay Apartments, Lahanuji Nagar had went to his shop between 11:30am and 2:30 on Friday. However in the meantime, some anonymous culprit had barged into his house by smashing the latch of the main door and swept away cash Rs 60,000 besides gold and silver ornaments to the tune of Rs 6,55,100.

Following the complaint of 45-year-old, Jaripatka police have registered a case of burglary and started the probe.

In similar incident, burglars entered in the house of a 59-year-old when he was out and absconded with booty worth Rs 1.37lakhs on Friday afternoon.

Prashant Vishwanath Sharma, resident of BZ 11, first floor, Padole Layout had gone to market to purchase household items. Sharma returned home at around 3pm, only to find out his house in ransacked state with gold and silver along with American dollars placed in almirah missing.

Subsequently, he alerted Pratap Nagar police and filed a complaint.

In third incident reported in Sadar police station, some unidentified burglars targeted a middle aged man’s house between 11:30am and 4pm and decamped with booty to the tune of Rs 1,49 lakh.

As per the details, a 50-year-old complainant Subash Shyamrao Tahikoda resident of Plot. No. 1/8 Aakar Builders, Bairamji Town had went out when some miscreants managed to get in his house and swept away gold and silver ornaments along with a camera.

Sadar police have registered a case of burglary under section 454, 380 of IPC and started the investigation.
