House burgled in Kapil Nagar

Nagpur: A gang of thieves executed a burglary, making away with cash, gold, and platinum ornaments valued at Rs. three lakh from a residence in the Kapil Nagar Police Station area. The victim, Vijay Rambhau Nagdive (51), a resident of Plot No. 23, Mayur Nagar, along with his wife, had traveled to Mumbai to visit their daughter. During their absence from March 13 to 16, the house remained locked.

Exploiting the opportunity, the burglars forcibly entered the residence by breaking the door locks with a crowbar. Inside, they looted Rs. 25,000 in cash along with gold and platinum ornaments estimated at Rs. 2.75 lakh from an almirah before fleeing the scene. Upon Nagdive and his wife’s return from Mumbai, they were shocked to discover their house ransacked and their valuables stolen.

In response to Nagdive’s complaint, the police have initiated a case under Sections 454, 457, 380, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
