Hotel waiter flees after stealing cash and mobile phone

Nagpur: In an unusual incident, the waiter of a hotel in Cotton Market area on Imambada Road falling within the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth Police Station escaped after stealing cash and mobile phone together worth Rs 17,000/- (Rupees Seventeen Thousand).

According to police sources, the incident occurred on July 12, 2015.  The accused identified as Rajesh Sukhlal Uikey aged 24 years and a resident of Anand Nagar, Parasiya, Chindwara (Madhya Pradesh) who was working as a waiter in the hotel in Cotton Market area on Imambada Road of Shailendra Jaiswal escaped from the hotel after stealing cash worth rupees twelve thousand (Rs. 12,000) and mobile phone worth rupees five thousand (Rs 5000/-).

When the owner of the hotel Shailendra Jaiswal realized the theft, he lodged a complaint with the Ganeshpeth Police Station. The Ganeshpeth Police has registered a case against the accused and is investigating further.
