Mumbai: Hindi news websites have been replete with reports of Honeypreet Singh, the so-called adopted daughter of the rapist baba, Gurmeet Singh, being arrested from the Mumbai airport.
Amar Ujala said that Honeypreet, who is alleged to have been sexual relationship with the rapist baba, was arrested from Mumbai airport on Sunday as she ‘made attempts to flee India disguised as a nurse.’
Another prominent newspaper, Dainik Jagran, too carried similar news claiming that Gurmeet Singh’s adopted daughter had been arrested from Mumbai airport.
However, there have been no confirmation to this news either by Dera Sacha Sauda or Mumbai Police officers.
Haryana Police had launched a massive hunt for Honeypreet over the weekend. The so-called adopted daughter of the rapist baba was said to have gone underground with some reports suggesting that she may have escaped to Nepal.
Gurmeet had allegedly insisted on having his ‘adopted daughter’ by his side inside the jail because he calimed she was his personal physiotherapist and masseur. Honeypreet’s estranged husband had earlier claimed that his wife had illicit relationship with Gurmeet and both her frequent sexual encounters between them.
