Nagpur: A police constable who was involved in a mishap after being hit by a two-wheeler on Sakkardara Flyover on July 15, has tragically passed away at New Era Hospital on Thursday, July 20, the police reported. The deceased, identified as Sunil Dhande, was returning home from duty when the incident occurred.
According to the available information, an unidentified two-wheeler rider collided with Police Constable Sunil Dhande’s vehicle and immediately fled the scene after the impact. As a result of the collision, Dhande, who was driving the vehicle, lost control and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to Shree Hans Hospital, Sakkaradara, where he received medical attention for his critical condition.
Doctors at Shree Hans Hospital noted the presence of internal bleeding in his stomach and determined that an urgent operation was required to save his life. In light of this critical situation, he was promptly transferred to New Era Hospital, Quetta Colony, Lakadganj, for further specialized treatment.
Despite the best efforts of the medical staff at New Era Hospital, the condition of Police Constable Sunil Dhande continued to be critical. On July 20, 2023, the doctors solemnly declared him deceased, leaving behind a grieving family and fellow officers.
