Heeding to police appeals, Kashmiri Galli residents install CCTV cameras

Nagpur: Heeding to repeated appeals made by city police, the citizens of Kashmiri Galli near Kamal Square took a lead and have spontaneously installed CCTV cameras in and around their residences. The installed CCTV cameras not only provide a sense of security to the residents but also create apprehension in the minds of would-be perpetrators of any sort of crimes. The sensible move is the outcome of a lead taken by Kashmiri Galli Residents’ Association in this regard.

IMG-20160111-WA0035A formal function in the presence of North Nagpur MLA Dr Milind Mane, Navnitsingh Tuli, Panchpaoli Police Inspector R Nikam and other prominent citizens marked the installation of 16 CCTV cameras in Kashmiri Galli. The move will certainly facilitate cracking of looting, house-breaking, kidnapping cases if they were to take place in the area.

IMG-20160111-WA0034The residents have also initiated several other measures to ensure safety and security of their area such as deployment of security guards, erection of iron gates at both the sides of the lane etc.
