Harshit Tembre, Avanti Kurrewar lift trophies of U-19 Divisional School Carrom Tournament

Nagpur News:  Harshit Tembre of St. Michael School Nagpur and Avanti Kurrewar of Hindu Girls School lifted the Trophy in the U-19 Boys and Under-19 Girls categories. Harshit Tembre defeated Abhijeet Ambatkar of Gondwana High School by scoring 13-0 points and Avanti Kurrewar carved out victory against Sakshi Dhande of the same school by scoring 13-7 points respectively. The Divisional School Carrom Competition, organized by District Sports Office, concluded on Saturday being held at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur.

Harshit Tembre was at his best from the semifinals and emerged the winner against Santosh Wanve of Z.P.School Andhalgaon, Bhandara by scoring 11-1 points in the first round of semifinals of Under-19 Boys.
In the second round of semifinals, Abhijit Ambatkar of Gondwana School, Gadchiroli beat Nehan Wankhede of Rajendra High School Nagpur by scoring 8-6 points.
In the girls U-19 category, Avanti Kurrewar of Hindu Girls School won her match against Sakshi Dhande of the same school by scoring 13-7.
The tournament was inaugurated by the District Sports Officer Vijay Santan and concludedon Saturday with excellent co-ordination by the Sports Officer Sandeep Khobragade, Mohammad Iqbal and Alpesh Sahare.

Avanti Kurrewar (Hindu Girls School) beat Sakshi Dhande (Hindu Girls School) by scoring 13-7 points.
