Nagpur: Once again, the poor investors of the city have been duped by conmen with promises of heavy returns. The accused have been identified as Pushpendra Singh Krishna Prasad Baghel, Pushpanjali Pushpendra Singh Baghel, Ranvijaysingh Pratapsingh Baghel, from Bhopal, Sandip Saxena, from Jaipur, Baghendra Sanghi Krishna Pratapsingh Baghel, Sahendrasingh Baghel, Dhirendrasingh Baghel, Sahendrasingh Baghel, Dhirendrasingh Baghel and others.
The accused opened Saiprakash Property Development at Bhiwapur Chambers in Dhantoli, They attracted gullible investors by offering heavy interest on small investments.
A company agent convinced 36 year-old factory worker Naresh Sahu from Kamgar Nagar in Kalamna, to invest Rs 570 per month with them and also offered huge interest on fix deposit. On October 27, 2010, Sahu visited the office and invested Rs 11,340 while one of his friend fix deposited Rs 50,000.
The Bhiwapur Chambers office got suddenly locked on January 27, 2016 and upon enquiring, investors learned that it had been shifted to company office in Congress Nagar. Upon visiting this office, the investors realised that they had been duped.
Dhantoli police has registered offence of fraud against the accused and further probe is on.
