Groups clash in Kapil Nagar, 3 youths injured

Nagpur News: Two youth were injured when a tussle broke out at the Kapil Nagar area between two groups. Sources told Nagpur Today that Kamgar Nagar resident Mohammad Razaq (25), Mohammad Salim (24) and Mohammad Ashfaq alias Guddu set out for Kamptee at about 3.30 pm on Friday. The three youths reached the Kapil Nagar bus stop and stood in wait for an auto.

It was then that a youth who operates a food joint in the area stopped them over old enmity. Soon a group of about 8 to 10 persons armed with iron rods and blunt weapons reached the scene and attacked the youths. The brawl grew into a bloody clash leaving the youths severely injured.

The assailants struck the youth on their head intending to cause maximum damage. The attackers then fled the scene leaving the youths in a pool of blood. People of the area informed family members of the injured youths. The youths were rushed to the hospital.

According to reports the condition of one of the youths is said to be critical. Relatives of the youth reached the Jaripatka police station at about 8 pm and reported the matter. However no complaint had been registered till late night.
