Nagpur: In an audacious act, a group of 10-15 persons attacked a man, his wife, and three other relatives and tried to kill them over a dispute in Kalamna area here on Tuesday.
The trouble started as the complainant Shivshankar Rameshwar Pandey (55), resident of Plot No. 108, Vaishnav Devi Nagar, was milking his cow at his residence around 6 pm on Tuesday. At the same time, he saw a boy stealing his bicycle. Acting swiftly, Shivshankar caught the boy and took him to his mother’s ‘Pani Puri’ shop behind Shivshakti Bar Square and told her that her son was stealing his bicycle. But instead of scolding her son, the mother picked up a quarrel with Shivshankar and two men also thrashed him. After a while, Shivshankar returned to his house. Thereafter, the main accused named Nageshwar Gajanan Bondre, resident of Tukaram Wadi, along with his 10-15 accomplices arrived at Shivshankar’s house and started attacking him, his wife, niece, elder brother Brijnandan Pandey (64) and brother-in-law Piyushkant Pandey (40) with lathis. The accused hit lathis on their heads and tried to kill them.
Kalamna PSI Thakre, based on the complaint of Shivshankar Pandey, booked all the accused under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 452, 427, 307 of the IPC and launched an in-depth investigation into the matter. No accused has been arrested so far.
