Group of hoodlums including Hotel LB employees clash with customers over bill dispute

Nagpur: A group of hoodlums including employees of posh Hotel LB, armed with lethal weapons, clashed with customers celebrating birthday parties over payment of bills on Christmas day. Two of the accused have been arrested and a search is on to nab others.

The trouble started when a host of customers were celebrating birthdays of some of the kids at Hotel LB, located on Mount Road, Sadar, on December 25, the Christmas day. However, a dispute erupted over amounts of bills. As the dispute was raging, the group of accused hoodlums identified as Suresh Gangadhar Patil (32), Ravi Omprakash Jakhre (21), both residents of Yashodhara Nagar, Akshay Thomas and others working in Hotel LB, armed with swords, hockey sticks, gathered in front of the hotel and started clashing with the customers in violent manner. On being informed, cops from Sadar Police Station reached the spot and intervened in the matter. The cops personally observed the accused indulging in ruckus.

Based on a complaint, PSI Pandav booked the accused under Sections 143, 147, 149 of IPC read with Sub-Section 4+25 of Arms Act and 135 of Mumbai Police Act and placed Suresh Patil and Ravi Jakhre under arrest. However, other accused managed to give slip to the cops and are being searched.
