Nagpur: The sixth edition of annual Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav will commence in Nagpur on Friday, December 2, at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education. The programme will begin at 6 pm.
This grand cultural festival conceptualised by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transportand Highways, will be inaugurated at 6 pm in the presence of Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, Actor Nana Patekar; Chandrashekhar Bawankule, President, Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav Organising Committee; Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of State for Forest and Culture and in the virtual presence of Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev, Yogi and Founder of Isha Foundation.
“Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav Samiti will feature some of the most renowned artists in the country, and has also decided to support local artists who will be seen performing on all 10 days,” said Anil Sole, President, Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav Samiti, in a press conference on Thursday.
Renowned artists like Hariharan, Amit Trivedi, Manoj Joshi, Manoj Muntashir, Shailesh Lodha, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Mohit Chauhan will be performing at the event.Day-1 will begin with a tribute to Mother India and will see a confluence of dance, drama, songs and music on ‘Vandemataram’ by 1000 local artists on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Over a period of 10 days, performances ‘Taare Zameen Par’, curtain raiser by children of Sevavasti Niwasi on December 3, ‘Jagar Rashtrabhakticha’ by Shyam Deshpande on December 4, dance performance by transgender, Mission Viswa Mamatva Foundation on December 5; Violin recital by Pandit Prabhakar Dhakade on December 6, ‘Jagar Rashtrabhakticha’ by Shyam Deshpande on December 7, Chhattisgarhi Panthi Dance on December8,‘TareZameenPar’ performance by Bal Kala Akademi on December9, Classical and Semi-classical dance performance by Sayali Ujwane and Nilashi Khandkar on December 10, and ‘Shivshahi chi Randhumali’ performance by Shivmudra Dhol-Tasha Pathak on December 11 will be featured.
Above mentioned performances will begin at 6 pm. Anil Sole, President; Madhup Pandey, Vice President; Dr Gauri Shankar Parashar, Vice President; Jaiprakash Gupta, Secretary; Rajesh Bagdi, Treasurer; and others were present at the press meet.
